Putting Links to Work
Have you shared a link with your group lately? Then maybe you’ve noticed the cool hidden feature in our iPhone app.
Anytime someone in your group posts a message that is just a link, the app will automatically fetch the title of the page, so you have some idea of what you’re clicking on before you do it! Like this:
Maybe it’ll save you from clicking on something you don’t want to see someday. Who knows.
Certain types of links get an even fancier treatment. Look at what happens to this YouTube link:
Nice! You get a thumbnail and title preview for video links posted from YouTube, Vimeo, Vine, and World Star Hip Hop.
One last thing. If you post a link to a tweet, we’ll just show it right there so you don’t have to click through at all.
Pretty cool, huh? Some of these also work when you’re chatting with a group from our website as well, so go ahead and try them out. Share some links with your friends!
