We’re thrilled to offer the new GroupMe 4.0 to Android users today as a beta. It’s simpler, easier to use, and more beautiful than ever before.
The full version is not totally ready yet, but we were so excited to share this with you that we decided to make this app available in the meantime — we hope you like it!
Tap here from your Android browser, visit groupme.com/androidbeta, or follow the instructions below to download it now.
Please be aware that this app is meant for people who have used a GroupMe app before. If you’re not already a GroupMe app user, you’ll have to download our current Android app to register, then upgrade to the beta.
The app totally works for chatting with your groups, but you may notice a few missing features, namely, languages other than English, emoji, and read receipts. Rest assured, they’ll be there in the final version. #)

- If you see a “Replace app?” dialog, tap “OK”.
- Tap “Install” to finish.
